Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) held an entrance ceremony for its freshmen on Feb. 26, 2016 at the Seoul Campus.
The event, which kicked off with an official announcement of HUFS President Kim In-chul, was followed with the declaration of an oath by students and distribution of school badges.
"I would like to extend my warm congratulation to you," Kim said during his speech. "I hope the freshmen will never cease challenges and actions with their spirit. Through the endless efforts, I hope they will become people with visions."
The university said the ceremony allowed freshmen and their families to feel pride and a sense of belonging to the HUFS community.
HUFS sends off class of 2015
Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) held a graduation ceremony on Feb. 19, 2016 to send off the class of 2015 at both Seoul and Global Campus.
HUFS granted degrees to 3,149 students during the ceremonies, including 2,596 undergraduates, 500 masters, and 53 doctors.
HUFS President Kim In-chul attended the ceremony and delivered an encouragement message to the students who will take their first step to the society.
"I deeply congratulate you on your winning the degrees, as well as your first step toward the society," Kim said, adding that he wishes that HUFS will lend hands to the students whenever they face hardships in life or academic studies.
Families and relatives, as well as other juniors also attended the graduation ceremonies.
