Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), the Seoul Metropolitan Government, as well as four other local universities agreed on Feb. 29, 2016 to roll out joint efforts to provide the youth with more jobs.
The Memorandum of Understanding, clinched at the Sujung Campus of Sungshin Women's University in Seoul, also involved Konkuk University, Sangmyung University, and Sookmyung Women's University.
The Mayor of Seoul Park Won Soon and the presidents of the five universities exchanged ideas on expanding cooperation to create more jobs for the youth, with each university promoting their unique projects.
"We wish that Seoul holds events that listen to voices of people regularly, including the so-called 'Job Hackathon,' and expand ties with universities to apply ideas developed from such events into creating jobs," HUFS President Kim In-chul said.
The participants also took a tour of Sungshin Women's University after the signing of the agreements.
