The latest QS World University Rankings show that HUFS has continued its impressive climb for the second consecutive year. According to the rankings released by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) on June 8, 2017, HUFS took the 397th place in the global ranking and 11th place in the domestic ranking. It also occupied the 8th place among South Korean comprehensive universities.
The 14th QS World University Rankings assessed a total of 4,854 universities based on six performance indicators in the areas of research, education, graduates, and globalization. The six indicators include academic reputation (40%), research citations per paper (20%), faculty-student ratio (20%), employer reputation (10%), international faculty (5%), and international students (5%). HUFS moved up 111 spots from last year in academic reputation, driving up its overall strong performance this year.
In the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2017 released this March, HUFS, as a strong player in the Arts and Humanities, ranked in the world's top 200 in three related subjects. More specifically, in Modern Languages, it reached the 34th spot, demonstrating its academic prominence on the global stage.
