In September, 2019, Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT selected HUFS as a Software (SW) centered university.

The selection was made in recognition of the growing need to educate SW talent for the Fourth Industrial Revolution era; 17 universities entered the selection process, which showed a competition rate of 3.4:1. Including HUFS, a total of five universities were selected.

In addition to achieving the goal of providing innovation SW education, HUFS plans to focus on nurturing AI talent and providing AI convergence education. Also, HUFS plans to create an AI Convergence College, expand the SW entering class, and provide an AI track for SW majors.
