On October 25, 2019, the Confucius Institute at HUFS (CIHUFS) celebrated its 10th anniversary in the International Building’s Aekyung Hall on the HUFS Seoul Campus.

CIHUFS opened 10 years ago on October 31, 2009, and celebrated to recognize its achievements in the past decade. CIHUFS Director Kim Heung-soo and Chinese Director Myo Chun-mei hosted the celebration, and Kim In-chul (HUFS President), Sun Yuijung (Beijing Foreign Studies University Vice President), Wang Laochen (the Minister of the Chinese Embassy in Korea), Kim Hyun-chul (President of the Association of Confucius Institutes in Korea) delivered their congratulatory remarks, while many others interested in the Confucius Institute attended.

The celebration began with a video viewing for the 10th anniversary, proceeded with celebratory remarks from honored guests, and continued on with a souvenir ceremony between HUFS and Beijing Foreign Studies University. In addition, traditional dance performances for the 10th anniversary enriched the celebration.
