■ HUFS Global Politics Research Center signs MOUs with the Korean Association of Peace Studies
HUFS Global Politics Research Center signed MOUs with the Korean Association of Peace Studies on January 17, 2020, at the Seminar Room of the Faculty Office Building (Seoul Campus) to strengthen the ties for research on establishing peaceful public policies.

Professor Kim Myun-hwe (Global Politics Research Center Director) shared his insights with Director of the Korean Association of Peace Studies Yoo Ho-geun on the importance of collaboration on academic and human resources at the signing ceremony. The purpose of the MOUs is to forge official ties between HUFS Global Politics Research Center and the Korean Association of Peace Studies for academic conferences, joint researches, and information exchanges.

The MOUs outline five areas of cooperation: 1) Establishing programs for joint academic conferences; 2) Planning and operating joint research programs; 3) Sharing information; 4) Coordinating business operations; 5) Assisting with each institute’s needs. The MOUs are expected to strengthen and expand future academic and institutional ties.

■ HUFS signs MOUs with Romania’s Universitatea Tehnică din Cluj-Napoca
HUFS held agreement talks with Romania’s Universitatea Tehnică din Cluj-Napoca in November, 2019, and the agreements became official with MOUs signed between the two universities on January 15, 2020. To sign the MOUs, HUFS Dept. of Romanian Professor Park Jung-oh met with Universitatea Tehnică din Cluj-Napoca President Vasile Topa on the Cluj-Napoca campus.

The Universitatea Tehnică din Cluj-Napoca was established in 1777 and is considered one of Romania’s finest universities. The MOUs are expected to strengthen the ties in academic programs in engineering, liberal arts, and economics.
