Two books from HUFS University Knowledge Contents and Press received the 2019 Outstanding Book Awards from the Association of Korean University Presses in the Academics and Liberal Arts categories. Respectively, they are “The History of Indonesian” (translated by Kim Jang-kyum) and “Russia, Reading as a City” (Kang Duk-soo et al.).

On the reasons for receiving the awards, book critic Lee Kwon-woo (Kyung Hee University, guest professor) and publication critic and writer Pyo Jeong-hoon commented: “It is unusual to find a university press to release books that are academic, professional, popular, and readable. But university presses have been continuously showing their efforts. We witnessed the endeavors in the selected books, and it is inspiring to see the results.”
