HUFS PhD candidate Hwang Yoon-jeong (faculty advisor Myung Hee-joon) in the Bioscience and Biotechnology program of the College of Natural Sciences received the Best Presentation Award for the thesis on “Engineered Bacteriophage T7 As A Potent Anticancer Agent In Vivo” at the 2020 Winter Symposium of the Korean Society for Microbiology and Biotechnology. The symposium was held from January 13-15, 2020, in Yongpyeong.

Hwang Yoong-jeong’s research is expected to help in developing new cancer treatment drugs using bacteriophages.
