HUFS Administrative Support Construction & Planning Manager Lee Jong-won published a research paper as first author in an SCI journal, Sustainability (Impact Factor: 2.576 (2019)).

The research paper compared the energy savings by using body heat detectors and room management systems in classrooms, dormitories, and underground parking lots in a university building. Until now, the importance of saving energy was presumed rather than supported by research data on the actual energy savings. For the first time, through experiments and data analysis, the energy savings through a university building’s electricity conservation system was quantified, paving the way for future research.

Manager Lee was hired in 2010 as school personnel and has worked on ways to provide efficient electrical energy usage and savings on campus.
