HUFS Division of Language and Diplomacy (LD) Prof. Kim Yong-wan’s research paper was selected as the Top 50 Research Papers by the Ministry of Education Academic Research Support Project. Prof. Kim theoretically established a Korean development cooperation model with a case study of the Saemaeul Project in Tanzania and Bangladesh, providing results on international development models through quantitative and objective data analysis.

Unlike previous research attempts which focused on qualitative analysis on development cooperation projects, Prof. Kim’s quantitative approach provided significant insight by providing objective research results.
In addition, the research paper was published in the prestigious academic journal World Development (ISSN : 0305-750X) and was introduced to Good Neighbors, headquarters of WFP, KOICA, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other international organizations as a model for providing direction for development cooperation, making the achievements all the more meaningful.
