■ 40th Anniversary of Global Campus Celebrated with Poet Na Tae-joo’s Book Concert
The Global Campus Library (Director Choi Sung-eun) held the “Poet Na Tae-Joo’s Book Concert (Topic: Poems Save Lives)” at the Global Campus Centennial Complex International Seminar Room in Nov. 2020.

The event was planned by the Global Campus Library and Student Union to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Global Campus.
Na Tae-joo is famous for the poem “Flower: Seen up close, you’re pretty. Seen for long, you’re lovely. So are you.” The poet started the special lecture by telling the students not to strive for fame but for usefulness, and shared his wisdom by talking about how to preserve one’s self and how not to rush into things in life.
He also shared his life story on how he began to write poems—after being rejected by a lady he had a crush on. He went on to comment that a poem is a love letter one writes to oneself, which brought smiles to the audience.
The special lecture, which was planned by the student union, proceeded with Love Poem recital by Na, a Q&A session with students, a signing event, and a photography session, which was attended by many students.
