■ Global Campus Career Development Center Holds HUFS Job Talk Concert
HUFS Global Campus Career Development Center (Director Oh Se-hong) hosted the HUFS Job Talk Concert on the topic of “Changes in Hiring and Employment Strategies in the COVID-19 Era” at the Global Campus Centennial Complex International Seminar Room on Nov. 18, 2020.

Company recruiters, job applicants, Business School Prof. Yang Je-wan, and Director Oh Se-hong participated in a panel discussion to talk about the rapidly changing hiring trends and effective preparation strategies for job applicants in the COVID-19 era.
Director Oh said that many job applicants are confused because the hiring process has rapidly changed due to COVID-19. He added that he wanted to help the students by inviting company recruiters to answer the pre-registered questions as well as the questions the students have on the spot. He thanked all who participated in the event.

The HR Manager of Jusung Engineering Kim Yeong-du, who participated as a panel, said that he was heartbroken when he heard the expression, “We’re ruined during this lifetime,” from the youth of today. Despite the rapidly changing hiring practices caused of COVID-19, he encouraged HUFS students should arm themselves with unique personal stories and constantly challenge themselves and believe in “We’re going to be successful during this lifetime” as they prepare for being hired in a contactless environment.
Following the social distancing rules, the Talk Concert was held offline and online, with a live broadcast in which 100 students participated to prepare themselves for jobs during an economic downturn and more competitive job market.
