HUFS, the Embassy of Turkey in Seoul, and the Yunus Emre Institute in Seoul (Director Oh chong-Jin) held a joint ceremony on August 19, 2021, to celebrate the completion of the 1st Turkish internship and the launch of the 2nd Turkish internship.

In August 2019, HUFS signed an agreement with the Turkish Embassy and the Yunus Emre Institute, which is the Turkish Cultural Center, in Seoul on exchange and cooperation for an internship program with the Turkish government.
Under the sponsorship of the Turkish Embassy in Seoul, flag carrier Turkish Airlines, and the Yunus Emre Institute in Seoul, the Turkish internship program offers eight HUFS students an internship opportunity with the Turkish government each year. Despite COVID-19 constraints, the first group of HUFS student interns were sent to Turkey last February and worked for different Turkish government agencies, including the City Hall of Bursa, Bursa Provincial Culture and Tourism Directorate, and Bursa Office of Urban Development through the end of last June.
This ceremony marked the successful completion of the 1st intern group and also the launch of the 2nd intern group, which will be dispatched this September to work for different Turkish government agencies through the end of December 2021.
