■ HK+ National Strategies Research Project Agency of HUFS Center for International Area Studies signs MOU with KOTRA

Humanities Korea Plus (HK+) National Strategies Research Project Agency (Head Kang Jun-Young) of HUFS Center for International Area Studies signed an MOU with the KOTRA Academy (Director Park Han-Jin) on December 28, 2021 (Tuesday). By inking the MOU, the two institutions have agreed to broaden their scope of cooperation in the fields of research and business development.

The research agenda of HK+ National Strategies Research Project Agency is “In Pursuit of Supranational Cooperation and Communication: Identifying Points of Commonality in Northern Culture and Establishing a Cultural Hub to Create an Environment for Korean Reunification.” Under the MOU, the two institutions aim to implement a platform of cooperation in providing social services in order to promote research on the Northern region and other related areas and help businesses enter the local markets in the region. As part of their first endeavor, they are going to jointly open an online course on market entry into the Northern region in the first quarter of 2022.

■ HUFS Institute of Latin American Studies HK+ National Strategies Research Project Agency holds an MOU signing ceremony with Foundation People for Earth

HUFS Institute of Latin American Studies HK+ National Strategies Research Project Agency (Head Jun Yong-Gap) held an MOU signing ceremony with Foundation People for Earth to expand cooperation at YooJae in Jongno-gu, Seoul, on October 29, 2021 (Friday).

At the ceremony, the two institutions agreed to pursue an ecological civilization and Earth Jurisprudence by meeting the three common goals. Under the MOU, they will pursue cooperation and exchange in organizing and hosting academic events, cooperate in research, publishing, and other academic projects, and conduct joint research, education, and culture activities by leveraging each other’s distinctive strengths.

■ Institute of EU Studies signs MOU with Institute of Social Sciences at Keimyung University

HUFS Institute of EU Studies (Director Kim Bong-Chul) entered into an MOU with the Institute of Social Studies at Keimyung University to expand exchanges on October 22, 2021 (Friday).

Under the MOU, the two institutes are going to closely cooperate with each other in a range of fields. These cooperation measures will include: academic exchanges, such as sharing European and global climate change resources and research publications; cooperation for jointly running a HK+ and “Key Research Institutes in Universities” projects under the sponsorship of the National Research Foundation of Korea; working-level industrial-academia-government-research cooperation in the field of climate technology and carbon neutrality; and academic information exchange in the field of digital commerce and service investment.
