- In 2021 alone, it performed projects for the National Information Society Agency, King Sejong Institute, and East Asia Global Education Institute of Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education
- It won four projects worth about KRW 4.5 billion in total

Despite the grim reality of the COVID-19 pandemic and a growing crisis in higher education, HUFS Knowledge Press (Director Yoon Seong-Woo) won four projects from the National Information Society Agency (NIA), King Sejong Institute, and East Asia Global Education Institute of Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education in 2021 through various collaboration efforts with HUFS and non-HUFS institutions. The total amount of the projects reached around KRW 4.5 billion.
Last April, it joined hands with HUFS Data Center to win the AI Learning Data Establishment Project worth 4.2 billion from the NIA, building its presence in the data industry. With the goal of developing an AI-powered multilingual interpretation and translation device for different subject areas, the project collects multilingual (KOR-ENG/CHIN) speech data and builds a multilingual (KOR-CHIN/JAP/GERM/FREN/SPAN) colloquial corpus.
HUFS Knowledge Press also switched into full gear to make notable achievements in the publishing industry in May 2021. Building upon years of its expertise in editing and publishing language learning textbooks, it performed the Online Beginner- and Intermediate-Level Korean Practice Book Development Project in collaboration with a research team led by Professor Kim Jae-Woo of HUFS Department of Korean Education. Around KRW 130 million of the total project budget was allocated to HUFS Knowledge Press, which will complete the book development this December and deliver the books to King Sejong Institute. The institute launched this project to develop books to practice the lessons of its existing Korean textbooks, meeting a growing demand for online Korean learning and creating an online learning environment where anyone can learn the Korean language with online lessons only.
In October 2021, HUFS Knowledge Press won another project from East Asia Global Education Institute of Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education. Entitled the “Multilingual (CHIN/JAP/RUS/VET/THAI) East Asia Civic Education Video Development Project,” the project aims to provide systematic support for multilingual civic education in schools across the region and cultivate East Asian and Global talents with global communication skills. With the total budget of approximately KRW 180 million, HUFS Knowledge Press will lead the project in cooperation with HUFS language acquisition researchers for a completion by the end of the year.
