■ HUFS Global Campus’s University Job Plus Center signs MOU with PLANEAR on industry-academia on-site job training

The On-Site Job Training Support Center of the University Job Plus Center (Director Oh Se-Hong) on the HUFS Global Campus signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with digital content planning group PLANEAR on March 17, 2022 (Thursday).

On-site job training, which is the key goal of the MOU, aims to cultivate ready-to-adapt and creative multidisciplinary talents. During the training, students will use the knowledge related to their major in a workplace environment and develop their on-site skills for a smooth transition into the job market.

The MOU will give HUFS students an opportunity to hone their practical skills while designing their career path to prepare them to enter the job market. In addition, semester credit hours are given to students who participate in on-site training, helping them continue their studies along with practical training. The MOU will also give HUFS and the company an opportunity to collaborate so that HUFS can nurture and develop career-focused talents to boost employment, while the company can secure its competitive advantage.

The two signatories will work together for a win-win outcome by utilizing their respective capacities and resources in the areas of career and employment education in content planning and social marketing, expert group opinion gathering and advisory in government-led tasks, and overseas study projects for students.

■ GBT Division inks MOU with Dream Pictures 21 on industry-academia exchange and cooperation

The HUFS Division of Global Business & Technology (GBT, Chair Jeon Jong-Geun) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with digital content producer Dream Pictures 21 on March 17, 2022 (Thursday), on industry-academia exchange and cooperation. The two signatories shared their mutual interest in and recognition of their respective strengths and specialties and decided to build an organic cooperative system.

To this end, HUFS and Dream Pictures 21 agreed to combine their efforts in ▲exchanges in personnel training and on-site training for global talent cultivation, ▲cooperation to boost employment, ▲joint projects, and ▲advisory on each other’s MOU performance and other matters that require cooperation.

■ Institute of Russian Studies signs MOU with Korea Eurasian Policy Institute for greater exchange and cooperation

The HUFS Institute of Russian Studies (Director Pyo Sang-Yong) participated in a policy seminar held by Korea Eurasian Policy Institute (KEPI, Director Goh Jae-Nam) and signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with KEPI to promote mutual exchange and cooperation on February 11, 2022 (Friday).

KEPI is a network of former and current Russia and Eurasia experts in the nation that was established for the purposes of knowledge-sharing, policy suggestions, and talent donation. In 2021, the HUFS Institute of Russian Studies organized the Ministry of Foreign Affair’s ‘Korea-Russia Think Tank Network Construction Project’ together with KEPI, successfully holding four Korea-Russia conferences.
