The HUFS American football team Black Knights (led by Professor Kim Bong-Cheol) won the 61st national college football championship “Challenge Bowl” held at Kyungil University in Gyeongsan, Gyeongbuk Province, on January 23, 2022 (Sunday).

At the championship, joined by all college American football teams across the nation despite the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the Black Knights claimed their first national championship cup since the team’s inception 30 years ago.

This first championship victory for HUFS amateur Black Knights was especially meaningful as it was possible thanks to the tireless training and strong dedication of the players coupled with the ceaseless support and assistance of senior and alumni members.
