On May 6, 2022 (Friday), HUFS AI Education Center (Director Kim Nak-Hyun) hosted the 2022 Smart Campus Idea Festival Contest jointly with the Office of Information Systems (Dean Lee Yoon-Seok) at the Centennial Complex of the Global Campus. At the event, the Center announced the main-round results and held an award ceremony.

The contest was held for HUFS students to present information technology-related ideas that can make academic and non-academic life on campus livelier and easier, inspiring them to turn the knowledge and experience acquired while preparing for the contest into academic learning and thereby cultivating future talents in the AI and SW sectors.
A total of 54 student groups joined the approximately one-month preparation period from March 28 to April 30, 2020, to present their new and original ideas. At the May 6 event, 11 of the teams were selected to compete in the main round, and their final results were also announced.
The grand prize went to student team Hongik Ingan. The team presented a customized scholarship info service that allows fellow students to gather scholarship notices at their convenience. The team was awarded the HUFS President Prize as well as a cash prize of KRW 1 million cash. The Excellence Prize went to two student teams. Team [81Studio] won for its application that enhances the usability and accessibility of HUFSAbility for other HUFS students. Team [J&K] won for its “Internal & External Strength” project, where the Internal Strength service enables integrated HUFS application personalization and the External Strength service offers a media façade. These two teams received the Seoul and Global Campus Vice President Prize, respectively, and a cash prize of KRW 500,000.
