HUFS Global Trading Experts Incubating Program (GTEP, Director Baek Jae-Seung) successfully completed its exhibition at Thaifex-Anuga Asia 2022 held from May 24 to 28, 2022 (Tuesday through Saturday) at IMPACT Exhibition Center in Bangkok, Thailand.

One of the world’s three largest food exhibitions, the event serves as a gateway to the ASEAN market with a population of 600 million, which is now open to Korea via the Korea-ASEAN FTA and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP). It is Asia’s largest B2B food and beverage exhibition, bringing together around 1,200 companies and 2,500 buyers from not only Asia, but also Europe, the Middle East, the U.S., Latin America, and Africa.
Two HUFS GTEP teams (Teams 5 and 6 with 14 students in total) participated in this year’s exhibition after signing an MOU with Korean businesses B5 and Pyunsik Factory (Team 5) and Green F&B and Kind Mr. Park (Team 6). The two teams established new product exhibition and marketing strategies for their partner businesses and provided product recommendations and interpretation services for buyers. More specifically, Team 5 (Kim So-Jeong, Park Jong-Hyuk, Song Gyung-Do, Cha Ju-Hee, Ha Jeong-Bin, Hong Nyeung-Sun, and Hwang Jung-Hee in Korean alphabetical order) promoted B5’s ‘Hey! Icheon Rice Tteokbokki’ and Pyunsik Factory’s barley twisted sticks, barley syrup, and barley and mugwort jjondeugi, while Team 6 (Kim Do-Gyeong, Kim Min-Ha, Kim Jeong-Tae, Moon Young-Ju, Park Yoo-Jin, Yang Ye-Rim, and Jeon Sae-Gyul in Korean alphabetical order) presented Green F&B’s Korean vegetable and fruit juice as well as Kind Mr. Park’s 100% perilla and sesame oil extracted from expertly grown and roasted perilla and sesame seeds.
