■ HUFS Institute of History and Culture inks agreement for cooperation with the Center for Korea Studies of the International University of Ulaanbaatar
The HUFS Institute of History and Culture (Director Lee Geun-Myeong) signed an agreement for cooperation and exchange with the Center for Korea Studies (Director Yeo Byeong-Moo) of the International University of Ulaanbaatar at the Professor’s Office of the Humanities, Economics and Business Building of the Global Campus on March 23, 2023 (Thursday).

Both institutions agreed to maintain sustainable relations via mutual exchange and cooperation in the fields of Korean history, Mongolian history, international relations, and languages. Under the agreement, they will promote and strengthen their institutional exchanges and cooperation in the areas of history, culture, and social and cultural research.
■ HUFS University Knowledge Press signs MOU with JeongoJoongHan F&B for academia-industry cooperation
On February 14, 2023 (Tuesday), HUFS University Knowledge Press (Director Goh Yoon-Seong) signed an MOU for academia-industry cooperation with JeonJoonHan F&B (CEO Jeong Jeong-Joong) at Imun 107 Cafe #1.

Under the MOU, the Center and the company will present a range of bread and desserts made with ingredients directly sourced from France at Imun 107 Cafe #1 and #2. The confectionery and bakery will be led by chef Choi Myeong-Gap, who worked at renowned French bakeries, including Le Triomphe, Pierre Hermé, Jean-Paul Hevin, and Thierry Monier. This MOU is expected to provide HUFS students, faculty, and staff as well as community members with a flavorful opportunity to enjoy high-quality French bread and dessert products created with the professional expertise and know-how of chef Choi.
■ HUFS signs a multilateral MOU on the Establishment and Operations of the High Altitude Observation Network with the National Institute of Environmental Research
On February 8, 2023 (Wednesday), HUFS signed an MOU on the Establishment and Operations of the High Altitude Observation Network with the National Institute of Environmental Research (Director Kim Dong-Jin), POSCO International, and Korea University of Technology and Education at POSCO Tower in Song-do, Incheon.

The MOU aims to build an organic cooperative system between the institutions and promote academic and technological exchanges within the system for the purpose of establishing and operating the High Altitude Observation Network (POSCO Tower) within the Seoul metropolitan area. Under the MOU, the parties will cooperate on general matters relating to securing space for the facilities necessary to operate the network, controlling access to the network, and sharing measurements generated by the network on a real-time basis.
■ HUFS inks MOU with Intellicon Research Center on next-generation metaverse digital archiving
On January 18, 2023 (Wednesday), the HUFS Department of Information and Archives at the Graduate School and the HUFS Institute of Information and Archives Research (Director Noh Myeong-Hwan) signed an MOU to research and commercialize next-generation metaverse digital archiving with Intellicon Research Center (CEO Lim Young-Ik, “Intellicon”) in lecture room #208 of the Graduate School.

As the world is shifting toward the digital age, there is a growing need for research and development on digital archiving solutions that can select, manage, and utilize materials that should be preserved for the long term. Under the MOU, the HUFS Department and Institute will maintain close cooperation with Intellicon in the areas of metaverse digital archiving, research on digital archiving industrialization, and research and practicum on Docubrain, Intellicon’s digital archiving solution.
