On March 15, 2023 (Wednesday), HUFS held a ceremony to award retiring faculty members government prizes and the title of emeritus professor at the President’s Office of the Seoul Campus.
The faculty members who retired after last semester and were given the honorary title of emeritus professor include: Professor Park Woo-Soo and Professor Son Dong-Ho of English Literature and Culture at the College of English, Professor Park Myeong-Ho of Economics at the College of Economics and Business, Professor Gwon Seok-Gyoon of Business Administration at the College of Business, Professor Kim Shin-Young of Curricular of Teaching Profession at the College of Education, Professor Moon Yoo-Jin of Global Business & Technology at the College of Economics and Business, Professor Kim Yeon-Gyu of Chemistry at the College of Natural Sciences, Professor Choi Gyeong-Il of Industrial and Management Engineering at the College of Engineering, Professor Kim Hee-Dong of Information and Communications Engineering at the College of Engineering, and Professor Kim Won-Ho at the Graduate School of International and Area Studies. Among them, Professor Park Woo-Soo was awarded the Order of Service Merit (Yellow Stripes); Professors Gwon Seok-Gyoon, Moon Yoo-Jin, Choi Gyeong-Il, and Kim Hee-Dong the Service Merit Medal; Professor Son Dong-Ho the Presidential Prize; Professor Park Myeong-Ho the Prime Minister’s Prize; and Professors Kim Shin-Young and Kim Won-Ho the Minister’s Prize.
At the ceremony, HUFS President Park Jeong-Woon said, “We are sincerely grateful for your profound contribution to the advancement of HUFS during your teaching career. We also ask for your continued interest in and support for HUFS going forward.”
