HUFS conferred an honorary doctorate on President Park Byeong-Chul of Everest Trading Corp. (International Economics and Law, entry class of ’67), at the International Conference Room of the Minerva Complex, Seoul Campus, on April 3, 2023 (Monday).

In his congratulatory remarks, HUFS President Park Jeong-Woon said, “President Park has grown Everest Trading Corp. into a global company with his untiring perseverance and unique management philosophy, making a significant contribution to the nation and the Korean community by promoting the nation’s trade and private diplomacy. Given his noble contribution, it is truly an honor for our institution to grant him this honorary doctorate degree in Business Administration.”

President Park of Everest Trading Corp. said in his thank-you speech, “My career as a trader began as soon as I joined HUFS.” Emphasizing the values of effort and trust that can turn a challenge into an opportunity, he added, “I will take this honorary degree as my alma mater’s call for greater attention and contribution to HUFS and the Korean community and send my deep appreciation.”
